COLUMBUS — After handing a beatdown to Michigan in the regular-season finale, Ohio State opened as a 13-point favorite over Northwestern for the Big Ten Championship next Saturday in Indianapolis, according to VegasInsider.com. The line then quickly rose to a 14-point advantage for the Buckeyes.

This is the fourth appearance for the program under Urban Meyer since 2014 and gives Ohio State a chance to win back-to-back conference titles for the first time since winning five straight between 2005-2009. Northwestern has struggled against the Scarlet and Gray recently in the series, losing the last six meetings, but the coach Pat Fitzgerald has the Wildcats at 8-4 this season and they have won seven of their last eight after starting the season 1-3.

Northwestern is also tied with Ohio State and Michigan for the best record in the conference at 8-1.
